Hi! I am Bamse. I am the oldest around here. I'm from around 1963 plus/minus 3 years. I spent 22 years in an attic from 1979 to 2001, through hot summers and cold winters, until I was re-discovered and travelled to Ireland to meet my new friends! There are so many new things I wish to be upgraded to. Fortunately McBear is great teaching new technologies - which reminds me: When I was young, electric typewriters were a brand new hit. Today, I see typewriters do the job umanned! McBear says they're called colour laserjet printers. Wow! Name: Bamse Madsen Origin: I haven't got a clue... but I am not from the far east. I am from a time when they still mass produced inexpensive teddy bears in Europe Likes: Tea with honey - McBear taught me how to have one's tea I am very fond of my new suit, that Frances has knitted Dislikes: Attics Skills: I teach other TA's the history of Europe - after all: When I was kid, the Beatles had just become a hit... Oh, and I am the bass guitar player of our band Bearlife Travelling Experiences: I lived in Denmark for 40 years, then I moved to Ireland. I enjoyed travelling to Achill Island in April 2002 In January 2003 we went to Kitzbühel in Austria. McBear, Roger and I went to Edinburgh in June 2003. In June-July 2007 McBear, Roger, Tom and I went to China - that's the best experience in my life so far!!! They say I'm too old and fragile for more travels, but I don't fully agree with that...
